JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT:

The job of “Teacher - Classroom (Secondary)” is done for the purpose of developing students’ academic and interpersonal skills through academic courses of study and implementing District approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of students; providing a safe and optimal learning environment and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc. 

 

This position is anticipated to teach 6th grade science and 7th grade math.

Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required: 

Preferred Qualifications:  Prior middle school Math and Science teaching experience preferred.  Experience using differentiated instructional strategies preferred.  Experience with sheltered instruction and ability to use a variety of instructional strategies to meet various student learning styles preferred.  Experience working with English Language Learners preferred.  Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

The salary range listed below is for the 2026/27 school year, for a 192-day contract.
