Job Purpose Statement: The job of elementary teacher is done for the purpose of facilitating student success in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing District approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of students; providing a safe and optimal learning environment and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, and goals.  The elementary school teacher will instruct and supervise a diverse group of students by establishing a positive, respectful learning environment while promoting high standards of performance for all students regardless of their background and developmental levels.  

 

This position includes Music instruction for grades K-5, as well as some support for English Language Development.  ESOL endorsed and bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.
